UPDATED JUNE 6, 2024 - SUMMER CAMP
Dear Members,
The Executive Board would like to thank you for your patience as we worked through many challenges over the last two months regarding this year's summer camp and One Light Theatre as a company. We have been able to come to some realizations that we want to inform you of.
We have reached out to multiple facilities, potential counselors, and explored curriculums to provide your child(ren) with an enriching camp experience. After exploring all options, we have come to realize that it is not financially possible or ethically responsible to hold a camp that would not exceed our own expectations as parents.
If you registered through our official ticket system, you have been automatically added to our list of known debts. If you paid Jason Roy directly, we may not have a record of your payment. Please reach out to info@onelighttheatrenh.org with details of your registration.
We recognize that this conclusion is frustrating and disappointing, and we share those emotions with you. It is unfortunate that the actions of one can affect so many people. We hope that this does not deter you from participating in the other outstanding theatre programs in the Lakes Region.
UPDATED MAY 21, 2024
Dear Members,
We want to take this opportunity to inform you of important developments at One Light Theatre.
Firstly, we recently moved out of our space to reduce our expenses. We want to thank all the families who volunteered their time during this transition.
Secondly, we want to be transparent and inform you that one of our board members is the subject of an ongoing financial investigation. We want to assure you that this matter is being handled with utmost seriousness and all necessary actions have been taken. This member has been suspended from the Board of Directors, and all documents related to One Light Theatre in the matter have been compiled and turned over to local authorities. We cannot provide more detail at this time.
Finally, these two events have posed challenges for our upcoming summer camp. We are currently exploring location and performance options and seeking support from area theatre groups to ensure our upcoming summer camp can proceed as planned. We understand the importance of this program to the parents, children, and community and hope to have more details in the next few weeks.
